Exceptional service is always a top priority at CPI. Referring professionals receive prompt attention from admissions counselors experienced in meeting the unique needs of judicial and social service agencies as well as client needs. Clients are referred to CPI by a broad spectrum of concerned members of the community, including the criminal justice system through the Michigan Department of Corrections, and federal circuit and district courts.
Screening, assessment and evaluation take place to determine an individual’s qualification for admission and treatment, including a review of the client’s medical and social history. Initial admission procedures include counselors’ initial assessment, interviews to identify individual treatment needs, medical examinations, evaluation of an array of comprehensive screening tools, and psychiatric examinations if necessary.
